Scooby-Doo! and the Thanksgiving Terror by Mariah Balaban

Scooby-Doo! and the Thanksgiving Terror by Mariah Balaban-24 pages

Scooby, Shaggy, and the gang have their own float in the Gladcash's Thanksgiving Day Parade. However, a giant Turkey balloon float has gone rogue and is terrorizing the crowd. The gang must solve the mystery of who is behind the "Thanksgiving Terror" and save Gladcash's parade. This reminds me so much of Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, which is funny. It's neat how children's book writers create similar things to our reality in the alternate reality of fiction.

Thankless in Death by J.D. Robb

Thankless in Death by J.D. Robb - 416 pages

It's Thanksgiving and Eve Dallas is looking forward to spending time with her husband and his family from Ireland.  Then she starts investigating a murder.  She knows who killed them.  She knows when and how.  She just can't seem to find him.  And he's started working down a list of people he feels wronged him.  Can she catch him before he kills anyone else?

This is another in the Eve Dallas mystery series by J.D. Robb (aka - Nora Roberts).  I listened to this one on audio which was great with all of the Irish accents included.

Thanksgiving on Thursday by Mary Pope Osborne

Thanksgiving on Thursday by Mary Pope Osborne-73 pages

In this Magic Tree House story, back to 1621 and the first Thanksgiving is where Jack and Annie are taken. Squanto, Miles Standish, Priscilla, and Governor Bradford are there and Jack and Annie are tasked with helping the pilgrims prepare for the big feast and later get to partake in the feast before returning home to Frog Creek. As always, Osborne takes her characters to an important event in history and effectively dramatizes it. I am enjoying the Magic Tree House books.

Thankless in Death by J.D. Robb

Thankless in Death by J.D. Robb - 402 pages

Eve Dallas is preparing for the Thanksgiving holiday and the invasion of Roarke's relatives when she catches a new case.  It seems that someone is going on a revenge killing spree against every person who ever nagged, offended or annoyed him -- including his parents, ex-girlfriend, teacher and more.  Will Eve catch him before he celebrates the holiday with even more blood?

This murder mystery was a little different in that you and the main character knew who the murderer was the entire book.  It was more about how Eve would finally catch him.  I listened to this book on audio and I truly enjoyed the narration.  Another great entry in the series.

Thankless in Death by J.D. Robb

Thankless in Death by J.D. Robb - 402 pages

Lt. Eve Dallas is looking forward to the Thanksgiving holidays.  Roarke's family is coming in from Ireland and they're planning lots of family time.  Unfortunately, her work doesn't schedule itself around the holidays and she has a new serial killer to hunt down.  Jerry Reinhold started off by killing his parents and then sets out to take revenge on all those who he believes have slighted him throughout the years.  Eve knows who the killer is . . . now she just has to find him.
Nora Roberts' "In Death" series under J.D. Robb has put out over thirty books so far.  I haven't read all of them.  I pick up the ones that seem interesting when they come out.  I picked up this one as it mentioned Roarke's family in the description.  I wasn't aware he had any family so I read it find out more about it.  Now I need to search out the book where he discovers who his family is.
