The graves are unconnected save in one bizarre way: all belong to women who committed suicide.  This is #18 in the series.  Again, with Pendergast at the helm there are many surprising twists and turns.  And he, as usual, seems indestructible.  I have enjoyed the series very much and look forward to #19.."Crooked River".

Until the young woman's body is discovered in an abandoned warehouse in Queens, covered in leaves, the head nowhere to be found.  So begins the cat and mouse game between the killer and Special Agent Pendergast.  It has many twists and turns, with a surprising and gruesome ending.  This is #17 in the series.  I enjoy the characters and the series very much.

As we begin reading this, the 16th installment in the Pendergast series, Agent Pendergast is missing and presumed dead.  His ward Constance Green is overcome with grief and retreats into her basement rooms.  But soon she is abducted by a mysterious figure and when Proctor, Pendergasts butler/bodyguard realizes that she has been taken he pursues her traversing the globe.  Pendergast reappears as we know he always will.  He is like a cat..9 lives at least!  I highly recommend this series.

With a knock on Agent Pendergasts front door comes the next mystery in the Pendergast series.  This is number 15.  A priceless wine collection has been stolen.  When Agent Pendergast and his ward Constance drive up to Exmouth, MA to investigate they find a much larger mystery that goes back a century.  I recommend the entire series.

When Special Agent Pendergast agrees to meet his wife who he hasn't seen for quite awhile and then watches her get abducted right before his eyes, it really rattles him.  Anyone who reads this series knows very well that it is extremely rare that there is any situation that he cannot handle. Her abduction sets up a sequence of events and clears up a few loose ends about the agents life.  I enjoyed this book since I had come to the series late and was interested in what makes the agent tick.
