I love reading Mitch Albom's books, they always inspire me.  This one took a turn I did not expect but still really enjoyed it!

The Next Person You Meet in Heaven is the sequel to the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.  I listened to the audio book of this and loved it.  The book is very heartwarming and sad.  In the Five People You Meet In Heaven, the reader meets the five people Eddie meets in Heaven after he is killed saving a little girl named Annie.  Well, Annie goes on to live her life until she visits heaven and meets her five people in the book the Next Person You Meet in Heaven.  I guarantee you will have tears in your eyes after reading what Annie goes through.

Narrated by the voice of music, Frankie Presto is a Spanish war orphan raised by his blind music teacher.  Frankie is sent off to America with his only possession, an old guitar with six magical strings.  The strings turn blue when some one's life is altered. Along life's road, Frankie has some interesting adventures, where he ends up influencing some of the world's most famous musicians. This book will leave you both amazed and in tears. With many twists and turns, this book is a good read for this time of year.

If you have read Mitch Albom's books before, you know they are very inspirational reads.  Mitch Albom's books really touch your heart. This one takes place in Coldwater, MI.  Several of the town's people are receiving phone calls from loved ones in heaven.  When one of those people reveals to the church she has received calls from her deceased mother, a local reporter is sent to cover the story.  What follows is a media frenzy.  All this coincides with Sully Harding returning to his hometown after serving time in prison for a horrific accident that through an odd series of events caused the death of his young wife and mother of their young son, Jules.  When Jules starts to believe he can talk to his mother in heaven, Sully seeks to prove this nonsense is all a hoax giving people false hope.  What ensues is a twist of fate that gives everyone hope and faith that there really is a heaven.
