  This action-packed series opener starts you out on the edge of your seat from the very beginning. Thomas comes out of "the box" to find himself in a large expanse enclosed by stone walls, and welcomed  by a group of boys and young men. Thing is, Thomas doesn't remember anything - not how old he is, not where he came from or who is family is - only his name. He learns that he's the "newbie" and that one new boy comes out of the box once a month. All these boys who live in The Glade have the same circumstances as Thomas, no memory and no idea what to do besides live day-by-day. The only thing known is that The Glade is attached to a large maze, and everyday the maze is closed and mechanical monsters come out at night.
   When a new and surprising newbie comes much earlier than expected, a series of events is triggered. Thomas can't shake the feeling that he knows what is going on, and he remembers something. Could Thomas be more important that he realizes?
