"Project 17" by Laurie Faria Stolarz

"Project 17" by Laurie Faria Stolarz - 248 pages

This book is about a senior in high school who doesn't want to follow the plan his parents have made for him.    So he decides to get some kids and go shoot a short film in an abandoned mental hospital that is due to be torn down in a week.  He gets 5 other seniors and they go to spend the night in the mental hospital that is rumored to be haunted.  They hear voices, doors keep getting locked so they can't use them and they find a lot of stuff just left there.  It seems that they have something that needs to be done before they can leave.  It is told from each of the 6 kids points of view at different times and made me want to keep reading to find out if they get out.
