Someday, Someday, Maybe by Lauren Graham

Someday, Someday, Maybe by Lauren Graham - 344 pages

Franny is a 20-something up-and-coming actress. Well, she'd like to think of herself as one, at least. She's finally landed the waitressing job that could lead somewhere, and if that didn't bode well enough, she's just gotten the call that she's been placed on the wait list for the wait list for the nutritionist to the stars.
She realizes that the 2-year goal that she set for herself to make something of her career is fast approaching. A lot rides on the showcase she has been working on in her acting class. But she's been distracted by "serious" actors and her roommates, too. Just getting an agent would make her dream come true, right?
Written by actress Lauren Graham, it's got a lot of her signature humor and wit she's known for in the TV and movie world.

A Serpent's Tooth (A Walt Longmire mystery) by Craig Johnson

A Serpent's Tooth (A Walt Longmire mystery) by Craig Johnson, 335 p.

What do polygamists, Texas Tea (oil, that is), and murder have in common? Absaroka County, of course. In this ninth installment of this great mystery series, Walt Longmire faces a few demons and has the usual suspects, Bear and Vic, by his side. When what seems to be a polygamist cult moves in in the southern part of his county, and a young man with no pants makes some house calls, Walt has his hands full again. Plus, Vic may want something more serious with Walt, but is he able to handle her? High drama and some sad twists have this Walt Longmire mystery being one of my top faves in the series so far. And with a surprise ending that I didn't see coming, I can't wait for the next in the series.
