In London, she poses at Tory and finds employment with Cordell Easton, Earl of Brant. Victoria's stepfather locates them and Cord learns that she is not just a housekeeper, she is of noble birth. Cord decides to marry Tory and keep her and her sister safe from the clutches of their stepfather.
