After Sara, Jack, and Kate solved the Morris murders last year, they promised each other to leave investigating to the professionals. That is until neighborhood old lady sweetheart, Janet Beeson is brutally murdered. They still try to stay out of everything, but the townspeople begin to overwhelm them trying to clear their names. Even the town sheriff is hoping for their help. Once the town gets worked up and talking, the murder solving trio sees that there are more secrets hidden in Lachlan than anyone could have imagined.
I am loving this series so far. The characters are very well developed.

Sara Medlar is a recently retired famous romance writer. She decides to take it upon herself to fix up an old mansion in her home town. She has taken in her estranged niece, Kate as she gets on her feet as a real estate agent and also a charming young man named Jackson Wyatt, who is like the grandson she never had. All seems well in the quiet town until two skeletons are discovered. Sara, Kate, and Jack are then untied to solve the mystery and expose the towns dark secrets.

A Holiday of Love - 4 stories by Judith McNaught, Jude Devereaux, Jill Barnett, and Arnette Lamb - 354 pages

Four short romances.

New York in the late 1800s, where a beautiful but clumsy angel turns a lonely man's life around.

Medieval Scotland, where intrigues surrounding a Christmas Mass imperil two Highland lovers.

Regency London, where a world-weary lord receives an outrageous proposal.

Modern-day Colorado, where a daring and clever twelve-year-old plays matchmaker for his bighearted, impractical mother.
