This book finishes the series with a bang.  Jaz is faced with trying to save both the world and her own sanity.  Will a trip to Hell with a magical tool and new allies be enough to secure a future for Jaz and her vampire lover?  The snark and dark humor continue to amuse and balance out the action and violence.  I enjoyed this series a lot and was saddened to hear that the author had passed away so this strong voice in urban fantasy is no more.

CIA assassin Jaz Parks and her crew are sent to the Middle East to stop a mysterious wizard who is controlling a zombie army.  Along the way she has an unexpected encounter with an estranged family member that prompts revelations of Jaz's back story that add much more depth to the character.  The presence of a mole on the team complicates matters and leaves her wondering who to trust.  This series is James Bond meets Anita Blake and therefore lots of fun to read.

CIA assassin Jaz Parks is on assignment at the Winter Festival in Corpus Christi, Texas to retrieve a stolen biotech weapon created by her brilliant college friend / government helper Miles Bergman.  The snark flies left and right and Parks accumulates new members to add to her ragtag support crew in future installments.  The plot is light in this book but the action is non-stop and its a fun read.  I like the character and am curious to see where she goes next.
