My Thoughts: Honestly this book lacked the magic and depth the first 3 books had. I didn't find it as enjoyable as the first 3 books I read. Eustice seemed to have reverted back to being slightly obnoxious. I couldn't stand the character Jill and the book just fell a bit flat for me.

This is a stand-alone novel, but if you would like to see more of Lucy and Edmund’s adventures, read The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the fifth book in The Chronicles of Narnia.

My Thoughts: Look I'm never going to read the actual description of Prince Caspian in the book because Ben Barnes will ALWAYS be my Prince Caspian. I enjoyed this book as well, but again the sexism against female characters drove me nuts! I definitely prefer a strong female character who isn't categorized in the old ways they used to be stuffed in. Give LUCY A DANG SWORD, she's just as smart as the boys.

My Thoughts: I've never read the series before or if I have only this first one. It was a good kid's book I enjoyed it, even though I'm not religious. The descriptions were good. This book was very back in the day where girls weren't as good as boys and weren't allowed the same things as boys were, so that annoyed me to no end. I did enjoy reading it though.

This book was written from the perspective of the horse, Black Beauty. Anna Sewell wrote this, her only novel, later in her life, while she was bedridden from an illness. She passed away 5 month after the book was published, long enough to see it become an instant best seller.

I apparently had never read the book, even though I have watched the movie numerous times. Maybe this is why I prefer the movie so much more.
