Batman (1940-2011) #404-407, 136 pages
⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Synopsis (from Goodreads)
In 1986, Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli produced this groundbreaking reinterpretation of the origin of Batman—who he is and how he came to be.
Review
This is the comic that set a new tone for Batman media, making Batman and Gotham much darker and grittier. It gives the origin story of both Batman and Jim Gordon, and I liked seeing their separate paths and similar ideals and then how those connected. There's also a little bit about Catwoman in here, but nothing too deep, which was a little disappointing.
