Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers, Jesse Q Sutanto | 339 pages
While on the surface, this novel is about the murder of Marshall Chen, it is just as much about found family and the complexities of relationships. I enjoyed getting to know each character. Vera is a mess. If you don't know a professional meddler like her, consider yourself both blessed and missing out!
I did figure out the killer about halfway through, and the actual murder feels implausible to me, but the story caught me enough I'm willing to suspend my disbelief.
