This was one of my most anticipated fantasy releases and I loved it! It is an Afro/Arab inspired fantasy which was something totally new to me, but it made the story seem so much more unique and intricate than a lot of other fantasy stories I've read in recent years. One of my favorite aspects was the dynamic between the main character and their "obeah," a feline creature who they share a conscious with. I cannot wait for the next book to come out!
