I have read almost the whole series and as I mentioned before I love how each book is about different families, but characters from previous books seem to surface in each book. This is another book that was made into a movie that I enjoyed. A single mother has to deal with her ex-husband that won't pay child support but wants to get full custody of the children. After helping others, she loses her job and doesn't know how she is going to make a happy Christmas for the children. In the midst of all of her problems, she finds family she didn't know she had. Working long hours to make ends meet while struggling to protect her children from their manipulative father, Christine Eisley saves the life of an elderly department-store employee and sets in motion a series of events that leads her to a new relationship.
