I love the Damar series by Robin McKinley. It's been one of my favorites since I was a teen. So I was excited to discover some short stories sest in the Damar world.
This book is a short story of a shepherdess who meets a stone fey while out with her sheep. Unfortunately, like most meetings with fairies it changes her life. She becomes obsessed and soon loses interest in her family or her fiance.
This was an interesting story. It didn't really connect with the main Damar stories other than the offhand mentioning of the queen from the first book. Still I enjoyed it and am glad I read it.
