A Fatal Grace. the second installment of Louise Penny's bestselling Chief Inspector Gamache series, has Armand Gamache returning to the town of Three Pines.
This novel's dual mysteries held my interest, but I found the continued character building even more engrossing. Readers get to know more about Gamache and an old case that continues to plague his career and his conscience. A Fatal Grace also continues the stories of many of the residents of Three Pines and, as these characters become more developed, it's easy to see why Gamache and the lives of those in the fictional Quebec village of Three Pines continue to captivate readers around the world.
