I love Naomi Novik and I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was excited to read the second. Unfortunately, it fell flat for me a bit. It felt a bit scattered and both El and Orion were even more unlikeable in this story. I will continue on with the series and keep my fingers crossed for the 3rd installment.
