The Girl with Seven Names by Hyeonseo Lee - 304 pages
An extraordinary insight into life under one of the world’s most ruthless and secretive dictatorships – and the story of one woman’s terrifying struggle to avoid capture/repatriation and guide her family to freedom.
I am so glad I read this book. It was so interesting and even a little scary at times. Seeing how fast one country can rewrite its own history and take control of its people was unsettling at times. I would definitely recommend this book.
