Pet Sematary by Stephen King - 411 pages
No one wants their beloved pet to die, but what if you could bring them back from the dead? Nothing bad could possibly happen, right?!
Louis Creed moves to a small town in Maine with his wife and two small children, working at the local university's health center. He learns of the town's seemingy harmless folklore, and the old pet cemetary behind his house from his elderly neighbor, Jud. But when his daughter's cat is killed on the busy road in front of their house, Louis learns just how powerful the town's legends are, and once he gets sucked in, there's no turning back.
I've read and loved several books by Stephen King, and I'm surprised it took me until now to pick up this book! I thought it was a little slow at first, but rapidly picked up speed near the end, and totally had me spooked anytime my dogs would start to act a little weird...
