The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune - 398 pages
Linus is a caseworker for DICOMY (Department in Charge of Magical Youth). he is assigned to a special case to investigate an orphanage full of some of the most dangerous magical children. He must determine whether the orphanage should remain or if the children are too dangerous to remain.
I picked up this book after it was on an ALA notable books list this year. I'm glad I did. While the story was very slow moving and it took a while to connect with the characters, I grew to love them and the story. I would recommend this to adults and teens who enjoy fantasy books and very clean, understated romances.
