A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas - 261 pages
*** CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THE FIRST THREE BOOKS IN THE ACOTAR SERIES***
In the aftermath of a bloody and devastating war involving High Fae, Faeries, and Humans alike, a small family of the Night Court tries to adjust to the new world they have created. Feyre, Rhysand, Cassian, Azriel, Mor, Amren, Elain, and Nesta - all are dealing with their own issues and facing their demons head-on. Is the war truly over? Is peace truly settling in their world? Or is this merely a facade of worse things to come?
I very much enjoyed this “transition-book” between A Court of Wings and Ruin and the upcoming book A Court of Silver Flames. Although it was not as interesting and action-packed as the previous books (which is VERY difficult to live up to), I thoroughly enjoyed seeing a slice of life in the Night Court to satiate the appetite of fans before the next book release. I am glad that I read the series now, at a time where it is close to the release of the next book, considering there was a huge gap between ACOWAR and ACOSF, which releases in February! I have already pre-ordered and plan to read the Throne of Glass series (another Sarah J. Maas creation) while I wait. 4/5 stars.
