Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott

Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott - 281 pages

Stella is back in the hospital again for more treatment for her cystic fibrosis.  She's been in and out for twelve years but this time is different.  This time she meets Will, another patient with CF.  Although first antagonizing each other, they quickly fall in love.  But how do you love someone when you have to keep six feet apart at all times to live?

This was a tearjerker.  I thought the book was well done for a teen "illness" book.  The characters had layers and motivations that made sense.  There was no "saint" as the dying main character usually is.  It even had a semi-happy ending.  I enjoyed the story and plan to watch the movie soon.
