Darian has finally returned after four years to set up his Vale near Errold's Grove. The town has been waiting ever since he left with the Tayledras for his return. But just as he's returning, so does a problem from the North. More barbarians are approaching . . .
This is the second book in the Valdemar trilogy about Darian. It introduced the other main character -- healer Keisha. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the final book in the trilogy.
