After some horrible things happened in the last book, Ship of the Dead, you did not expect the new twist to the book. Now instead of just fighting the zombies and murderous people the group has to fight off a new type of evil. Something no one expected. While some search for family a few get separated and just try to survive. One gets separated from the rest and finds a new group to join.
This book was great. The new evil was something different that you don't typically see in other zombie books. I couldn't wait for the next book.
