Chief Deputy Ken Brody's girlfriend goes missing in the mountains in mid-October, right before a big snow storm hits. Mattie Cobb and her trustee K-9 Robo find her body but it is too late, and now they are stuck out on the mountain in the storm. Now Mattie, Robo, Brody, and Cole the veterinarian find themselves stuck in the middle of the killers stalking ground.
