This book really wasn't what I expected at all. Ali mixes real life stories intermingled with people's thoughts on the public library and how the library affected their lives. The book starts with a short story and then a couple of pages about public libraries. This is the way the book is set up and continues. At times, I found the short stories hard to follow and a little confusing.
