Last Things: A Graphic Memoir of Loss and Love by Marissa Moss

Last Things: A Graphic Memoir of Loss and Love by Marissa Moss
184 Pages

This is a graphic novel written from the point of view of a woman whose husband is diagnosed with ALS. The book documents the story from just before diagnosis to after his death. It is a sad and depressing book, but widened my understanding of what ALS patients go through and all the heartache that goes with it. The graphic medium was a good choice for sharing this story because it is such a heavy story. If this account had been shared in a regular book format, I feel like it would have been too heavy for many people. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys memoirs or is seeking knowledge and understanding of others.
