The Girl I Used to Be by April Henry

The Girl I Used to Be by April Henry-240 pages

Another teen mystery novel I read for this month's challenge. Olivia Reinhart is seventeen and an emancipated minor now, but fourteen years ago, when she was three, her mom was murdered and the police (and town) think it was her father who hasn't been seen since. New evidence has been found (her father's jawbone) that suggests her father and mother were both murdered by someone else. Olivia, formerly Ariel Benson, decides to go back to town for her father's memorial and to find out who killed her parents and left her at a Wal-Mart in a town miles away. I did not expect the ending, although it is totally plausible and realistic. The book kept me engaged throughout and I was eager to finish it and find out who did it and why/how. Overall, it is well-written and a good read.
