I remember reading The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson in high school and was looking to read it again but instead I stumbled across this book of several short stories by her. I remembered reading the Lottery years ago and remembered how creepy it was. It still gave me the creeps. I like books of short stories because you can just randomly pick one and be scared. I liked most of the stories in this book and found this a great read for this time of year.
