Bury the Lead by David Rosenfelt
(Andy Carpenter #3)
272 pages
Andy Carpenter is a recent millionaire, nonprofit foundation partner, and an attorney. He is also as loyal as his dog, Tara, and has a wonderfully, sarcastic sense of humor. When he receives a desperate call from a long-time friend who owns the local newspaper he finds himself in a sticky situation. A serial murderer has chosen the friend's star reporter to be his mouthpiece to the world, but it begins to look like the reporter has first-hand knowledge of the killings.
The story's set-up is intriguing, and I always enjoy the humor in this series, however, I found the solution to be a bit forced and overly-complicated. Still, the main characters are interesting and lovable so I'll definitely be checking out book #4.
