Boxers (Boxers & Saints #1) by Gene Luen Yang-325 pages
I read American Born Chinese earlier this year and noticed this on shelves a few weeks back and was immediately interested as Yang is an intriguing, thought-provoking graphic novelist. I enjoyed reading American Born Chinese and enjoyed reading this, although it is sad. I don't know a lot about the Boxer Rebellion, but this is a very personal, humanizing account of the atrocities committed on both sides of the Rebellion. I look forward to reading the second graphic novel in the series, Saints.
