The Crossing by Michael Connelly - 388 pages
Harry Bosch Series
Harry Bosch is at loose ends in his semi-forced retirement from his longtime position as and LAPD Homicide detective. An invite from his half brother, defense lawyer Mickey Haller, to review a pending murder one case brings Harry back onto familiar paths but this time he's on the other side of the law. Bosch is an interesting enough character to bring the reader through a plot that seems a bit hurried. I enjoyed seeing the split between how crimes are prosecuted versus the defense perspective played out during the investigation. A solid entry in a veteran series that will be enjoyed by Bosch fans.
