Hand of Providence: the Strong and Quiet Faith of Ronald Reagan
by Mary Beth Brown
215 pages

Ronald Reagan’s mother raised her two sons in church. This strong foundation assisted Ronald as he drew his strength from the Lord. Ronny’s father was an alcoholic, because of this situation; the family was never financially stable.  They moved constantly. Reagan obtained his first job at the age of 14 to earn enough money to attend college. Although he had many setbacks, he went on to graduate. He eventually becomes an actor; President of the Screen Actors Guild; Governor of California and President of the United States. An attempted assassination failed in 1981, instead of letting fear and hate consume President Reagan was compelled to pray for the individual who attempted to end his life, and lived his life for the Lord.
