The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins

The Girl On The Train By Paula Hawkins, 323 pages

In her debut novel, Paula Hawkins writes a suspenseful thriller that will have you not wanting to put it down.  This was by far one of the best books I have ever read.  The Girl on the Train will have you on the edge of your seat.

Rachel is a young woman who commutes to London everyday on the train. She passes her time looking into the houses along the tracks.  Rachel invents interesting stories for the people she sees which is amplified by her addiction to alcohol.  Most people would call her an alcoholic.  Alcohol costs her her marriage and her job.  Rachel develops too much time on her hand which causes her to stalk her ex husband, Tom.  Tom has remarried Anna and has a baby daughter. This sends Rachel in a tailspin.

But, when the wife of a young couple Rachel has been watching from the train disappears, Rachel gets in way over her head. What follows is a suspenseful thriller that will leave you wanting more.   Reminding me a little of the novel Gone Girl,  The Girl on the Train definitely lives up to the hype!!
