Taylor traces the evolution of Star Wars from being an idea in George Lucas's head all the through it's billion+ dollar sale to Disney. As an avid Star Wars fan, I really enjoyed getting a glimpse behind the curtain to see how the scripts changed pre-production and how many things we take as meaningful thought out canon were just basically happenstance due to budgets and timing. It's slow going at the beginning of the book but well worth sticking it out to get to the heart of the story. A special treat was learning the back story of the 501st Legion and it's really touching how such a positive idea of sharing Star Wars in costume with kids spread around the world.
