Haunted( A Bishop/Special Crimes Unit Novel) by Kay Hooper,
Haunted (A Bishop/SCU Novel) by Kay Hooper - 310 pages
Melanie, prime suspect in the mysterious murders of two men near the small town of Sociable, Georgia calls her brother Deacon James for help. The first person Deacon meets is Trinity Nichols, town sheriff, who wonders about the unusual number of strangers in town at that time of the year. Deacon and Trinity team up to solve the murders.
In this small town, paranormal is the key word to describe Melanie and many of her friends. With the help of the strangers, members of the FBI Special Crimes Unit and their special abilities, Melanie is cleared, but not before other extraordinary murders take place.
Of interest might be the brief descriptions of psychic abilities used by the SCU. Other novels in this trilogy of the Bishop/SCU Novels include Haven and Hostages. Some titles by Hooper are also available in audio format or as downloads from http://www.molib2go.org
