First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones - 338 pages
Charley Davidson has 3.7 jobs. She is a private investigator. She is a consultant with the Albuquerque Police Department. She is a part-time waitress at her father's bar. And she is a grim reaper. It's the grim reaper part that seems to dominate her life though. It invades all other aspects including her must recent case with the APD. The ghosts of three murdered lawyers need her help solving their murders and helping to free an innocent man from prison. She's happy to help them -- but she's also distracted by the fact that a mystery person is invading her dreams every night.
I picked up this book off our Friends' sale shelf as I thought it fit the month's paranormal theme. I enjoyed the book more than I thought I would. It took me a little time to get into the story, but once I did I couldn't put the book down. I'm going to start the next book in the series tonight.
