This latest addition to the Bernie Rhodenbarr series finds my favorite used book store owner/cat burglar up to his usual tactics. Bernie enjoys liberating rare items from their wealthy owners. In this episode Bernie's new client collects all things "buttons" - famous manuscripts, paintings, and now a silver spoon featuring a Declaration of Independence signer.
Full of twists and turns, even I was surprised at this ending to this story.
