Poison Pages by Michael Dahl, 32 pages

A girl waits for a bus.  On the bus, she finds a book someone forgot.  The girl gets trapped inside the book.  The Librarian is there to save her and the others trapped in the book.  They are the lost readers.  She looks down and sees poison letters in the poison book.  The girl and Librarian must jump to escape.  The girl is saved, but the Librarian is still trapped in the book.
