Lola at the Library by Anna McQuinn and Rosalind Beardshaw

Lola at the Library by Anna McQuinn and Rosalind Beardshaw - 32 pages

Every Tuesday, Lola and her mother visit the library.  We see what happens when they bring books back, attend story time, select books, and checks them out.  Afterwards, the stop at a cafe before finishing their day.  At night, Lola's mother reads her the books before bedtime.  throughout, Lola "reminds" readers how much she loves the library.

Basic story, but with an African-American as the central character it demonstrates diversity.  Kudos to the author, as it may help encourage minorities the library is important.
