Dewey There's a Cat in the Library by Vicki Myron and Bret Witter

Dewey There's a Cat in the Library by Vicki Myron and Bret Witter - 40 pages

In this children book, we follow Dewey Readmore Books, the famous Library Cat, through his first weeks at his new home.  After being rescued from the bookdrop, Librarian Vicki decides he will become the library-and thus the town's-pet.  At first, Dewey is all fun and games as he explores the library, attends story time, and meets the patrons.  He especially loves the children.  Soon, though, he finds his purpose in the library.

Great book!  It's not the first time I've read it, but it is a modern classic.  It closely follows Dewey's side of the beginning of the adult book Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World.
