Never Go Back: A Jack Reacher Novel by Lee Child - 416 pages
Reacher is on his way cross country to Virginia to connect with the voice on the phone from military police HQ that helped him in the last book. Once he gets to Virginia Reacher is recalled into the military and forced to face accusations from his past in order to keep his freedom. The Reacher novels have been losing some of their essential "Reacherness" in the past few books. The character isn't quite the reluctant hero he used to be and the series is the lesser for it. The reader has less sympathy for him as he gets more and more arrogant with people that haven't done anything wrong but to try and do their duty as they see it.
