OpenOffice is an
open-source office suite of software created to be an equivalent of
Microsoft Office. Being open-source, this software is distributed at
no charge.
This book is designed
to help a user get the most from the OpenOffice software. The book is
well illustrated, and easily followed. It covers how to set up the
software, how to use Writer (a Word equivalent), Calc (an Excel
equivalent), Base (an Access equivalent), and Impress (a PowerPoint
equivalent), as well as Draw and Math.
I personally have used OpenOffice software at home for years and found it to be satisfactory for all my office suite needs. It operates exactly like the other office suite and files from one are readable and editable by the other.
As with all software,
it is nice to have a book to refer to. This is that book.
