Emma has returned to the town of Joyful after running away embarressed by a disastrous prom night. She's surprised to find her prom date from that night who is now the local attorney. She's even more surprised to find herself needing his legal help after being arrested for assault, trespassing and murder. Good thing he believes her and knows she would never kill anybody.
This romance was pretty funny. The characters, plot lines, and setting were definitely over the top. A fun read.
