What My Mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones, 259 pages

Sonya Sones writes such heartfelt stories in prose form.  This was the second one by her I have read.  I always find it remarkable that her stories are fiction.  This particular story was especially touching about a teenage girl named Sophie who experiences her first love.  The book explores her feelings and her relationship with her best friends as well as a not so great relationship with her mother.  The book made me want to cry.  Sonya writes with such emotion and such understanding of the mindset of a young teenage girl.
