Libby has run all the way from California to Maine to escape what happened the last time she was to do surgery. In Maine, she rents a house from 8-year-old Robbie MacBain and gets caught up in him and his father's lives. Quickly falling for Robbie's father Michael, Libby tries to keep her medical career and her healing gift a secret.
This is another book in the Highlander series by Chapman. I actually think it might be one of the best books. It's a cute and fun story that isn't bogged down by the anachronistic views of women that most of her stories seem to have.
