Speaking from among the Bones, by Alan Bradley

Speaking From Among the Bones (Flavia de Luce #5), by Alan Bradley, 378 pages

In this mystery series set in small-town, 1950s England, the hero is twelve year old Flavia de Luce, a very smart girl (as well as a fan of poison).  These are easy to read, the characters are all interesting and likable, and you might even classify these as "cozy."  In this adventure, the body of the church organist is found in the tomb of a saint, and Flavia is on the hunt for a diamond.
