This story is about Meg Redclift. She and her sister find a wounded knight and try to hide him at the abbey they live at. Meg finds herself drawn to the stranger, Gresham Sedgewick, who has no memory of his life. When the plague comes to the abbey, Meg and Gresham leave and set out on a journey to find her sister Gabriella and his memory.
