Rick Santorum was a candidate for the Republican nomination
for president of the United
States in 2012. He wrote about several
unsung patriots, that time has forgotten, from the American Revolution who
showed extraordinary faith, courage and resolve. He highlighted 25 men and
women of varied backgrounds. Their stories and circumstances were all diverse.
However each and every one was willing to sacrifice, in some nature, for the future
of a free country; some shed their blood; others were imprisoned for their
actions; several lost their precious health; and many sacrificed their wealth
and future fortunes for the patriotic cause.
