The Lost Boy by Dave Pelzer, 340 pages
A continuation of where he left off in a Child Called "It", this book follows Dave Pelzer's journey through the foster care system. An emotional book that begins with him leaving his mother and brothers at the courthouse with an emotional heartfelt hug between him and his mother. The hug was a genuine hug between mother and son, but made you wonder why did she abuse him so bad? She wishes him a good life and seems to mean it. Those book proves the necessity of the foster-care system for these abused children who need a family to love them. This was a very compelling read.
